Updating Microsoft Office for Windows
You can update Microsoft Office from any app, but the steps are slightly different depending on which application you use
You maybe asked occasionally to update Microsoft Office by the IT team when an important patch is released. Make sure to perform the update immediately when asked
From Outlook
Click on File
Select Office Account from the bottom left
Click on Update Options and select Update Now
The update will proceed in the background and you can continue working. When it is ready to apply you may be asked to restart your office apps.
From Word, Excel, Powerpoint
If you have a document opened, click on File. If you don't have a document open and are currently on the New/Open Document screen skip to the next step
Select Account from the bottom left
Click on Update Options and select Update Now
The
update will proceed in the background and you can continue working.
When it is ready to apply you may be asked to restart your office apps.
